According to TASS News Agency recently, the Eurasian Economic Union and China will speed up the railway cargo transportation of both sides by introducing electronic document management.
According to the newspaper, the Eurasian Economic Union and China signed a road map aimed at strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The signing ceremony was held during the videoconference on February 16.
This news can be confirmed by the press release of the Ministry of Commerce of China: On February 16, the third meeting of the Joint Committee of the Economic and Trade Cooperation Agreement between China and the Eurasian Economic Union was held in the form of a video conference, which was co-chaired by Li Fei, Assistant Minister of Commerce, and Slapnev, Trade Commissioner of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The two sides actively evaluated the implementation results of the Agreement and considered and adopted the Economic and Trade Cooperation Development Plan (Road Map) between the People's Republic of China and the Eurasian Economic Union and its member countries.
However, TASS disclosed more details.
"The planning document includes three parts: first, digitization of transport corridors; second, dialogue on foreign trade policy issues; and third, joint scientific research on the impact of various programmes to deepen cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and China." The Eurasian Economic Union pointed out.
"The content of the first part relates to the phased transition of the two sides to the electronic document exchange of railway freight transport using electronic digital signatures." Andrey Slepnev, the trade commissioner of the Eurasian Economic Commission, is convinced that "this will greatly simplify the trade process and speed up the transport of goods between the alliance countries and China."
The Eurasian Economic Union added that the two sides plan to develop cooperation in the field of customs, veterinary medicine and plant quarantine. In terms of maritime and road transport, it is planned to strengthen the exchange of experience in the field of electronic logistics information between the two sides.
The second part of the road map focuses on building a sustainable trade policy dialogue. The Eurasian Economic Union pointed out that it had agreed with China on the areas of discussion for 2023-2024. The third part mainly involves scientific research and comprehensive analysis of the impact of various plans of the Eurasian Economic Union and China to deepen economic and trade cooperation.
The Eurasian Economic Union was officially launched on January 1, 2015. Its member countries include Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. The goal of the alliance is to achieve the free flow of goods, services, capital and labor within the alliance by 2025, and to implement coordinated economic policies.
If the information disclosed by TASS is true, it will undoubtedly be another good thing for the development of China-EU train! Simplify the document exchange process through digitization, improve the efficiency of information exchange, and shorten the time required. The future China-EU train can expect less delay and waiting.
In addition to the speed of the visible container train running on the railway track, there is also a "invisible track", on which all information carrying goods also runs. Often this "invisible rail" can more influence the efficiency of the China-EU train.
