Under the influence of many factors, the cost of road transportation in Europe soared

According to the European road freight benchmark released by the international road transport union IRU, the European road freight rate hit a record high at the end of 2021.

In the fourth quarter of 2021, the benchmark index of European road freight rate was 108.3, 1.1 percentage points higher than that in the third quarter of 2021 and 3.2 percentage points higher than that in the fourth quarter of 2020. This is the sixth consecutive quarterly rise in European road freight rates.

The continuous rise of European highway freight rates is the result of the comprehensive action of many factors.
